Who we are

Antarctic Intelligence (AQ IQ) is a social enterprise established to increase knowledge and take action to protect Antarctica. AQ IQ Group is a LLC based in Virginia, United States that provides consulting, research, and similar services to customers. 100% of the profits from this LLC go towards advancing the goals of AQ IQ.

Our logo is two penguins taking action to protect Antarctica by sharing a book of knowledge with each other. We believe that knowledge is the foundation of taking effective action. Each penguin can be drawn in four strokes, as can the book, for a total of twelve strokes. The number of strokes in our logo recognizes the twelve countries that negotiated the Antarctic Treaty, which establishes the framework for today’s Antarctica.

AQ is the Internet country code top-level domain for Antarctica, which is derived from the French word for the region: Antarctique. IQ is the abbreviation for intelligence quotient, which is a numerical estimate of intelligence based on the results of a set of tests.
