Sophia Ruddins

Sophia is an experienced researcher and professional in international and public affairs. She is passionate about advancing policy initiatives that will benefit Antarctica, from analyzing U.S. interests for senior officials to advocating for stronger nuclear monitoring systems there. A recent graduate of Brown University’s Master of Public Affairs program, Sophia spent her academic career meticulously researching and analyzing foreign policy. While there, she worked with the U.S. Coast Guard Center for Arctic Study and Policy as an analyst, collaborating with a team of Brown University students to identify challenges facing the regime and provide recommendations for further engagement. She also has federal experience in the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she worked for the International Trade Administration as an advocacy intern, focusing on foreign government procurement. Additionally, Sophia received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California with a specialty in international political economy.
